The 3-3-3 Model: Problem Solving in 3 Weeks

Step 1: Define the Problem (3 Key Questions)
Ask these three simple questions to clarify the challenge:

  • What’s  slowing you down? (Biggest pain point)
  • What happens if nothing changes? (Impact of doing nothing)
  • What would success look like in 3 weeks? (Desired outcome)


Step 2: Discover the Current State (3 Areas to Check)
Look at these three areas to understand where things stand:

  • People → Who’s involved? What’s frustrating them?
  • Process → What steps exist? What’s broken or missing?
  • Technology → What tools are used? Are they helping or hurting?


Step 3: Create 3 Options for Action
Propose three clear, doable options that fit within 3 weeks:

  • Quick Fix (Low Effort, Fast Impact) – Small, easy changes for immediate improvement. Low-hanging fruit.
  • Process Upgrade (Medium Effort, Lasting Value) – Improve workflows or training.
  • Tech Boost (Higher Effort, Long-Term Growth) – Use tools to automate or scale.
